We think that bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki was necessary in ending the war quickly. It had some very devastating effects. When the US bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima with the atomic bomb they were planning to end the war quickly through any means necessary. They were fully aware of the devastating and harmful effects of the atomic bomb. Even when the Japanese were fully aware of the threat of an atomic bomb being dropped on their government bases they did not surrender. This lead to the destruction of two great Japanese cities, thousands of lives lost and even were injured. The devastating effect of the atomic bomb’s radiation are still harming people to this day. We think that it is alright morally to kill someone to save several other lives. This bombing is a perfect example of this answer. The war could have killed several thousand more lives than the bombing at the cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This would have also killed more American men, which the American’s did not want to happen especially after Pearl Harbor.
